The institute is close to the city centre and can be reached within walking distance from the main railway station. (Around 30 minutes walk.)

Public transport

From the main railway station, walk approx. 250 m through the city centre to the station 'Kröpcke' or take the tram line 1 (direction Laatzen or Sarstedt), 2 (Rethen), 3 (Wettbergen), 7 (Wettbergen), 8 ( Messe/Nord) or 9 (Empelde) and change the line at 'Kröpcke'.

To get to the Institute of Psychology, take the tram line 6 (direction Nordhafen) or 11 (direction Haltenhoffstraße) and travel 2 stops to the stop 'Christuskirche'. From there it is about a 7-minute walk: With the Christuskirche behind you, turn left into Oberstraße. Then turn right into the street 'Am kleinen Felde'. The next left is the street 'Im Moore'.

Alternatively, you can take tram line 4 towards Garbsen or 5 towards Stöcken and travel 3 stops to the 'Leibniz Universität' stop. From there it is about 10 minutes walk: Cross Nienburger Straße in the direction of Welfenschloss (main building), pass the main building on the right and continue straight ahead through the street 'Welfengarten' until you come to an orange-coloured building on the right just before the park area. This is the new building for teacher training, building 1135, Im Moore 11.

Travelling by car

From the north
If you are travelling on the A7, leave the A7 at the Hannover-Nord junction in the direction of Hannover-Nord/Dortmund (A352). Follow the A352 to the A2 motorway. Take the exit 'Herrenhausen/Zentrum' onto B6 (Westschnellweg). Continue as if travelling from the west and east.

From the west and east
If you are travelling by car, take the A2 motorway. Take the 'Herrenhausen/Zentrum' exit onto the B6 (Westschnellweg). After approx. 8 km, turn left at the traffic lights onto Bremer Damm towards the city centre. After approx. 2 km, this dual carriageway ends at Königsworther Platz. In front of you, you will see the Continental high-rise building of the Königsworther Platz university site diagonally to your right.
Turn left into Nienburger Straße (towards Herrenhäuser Gärten) and immediately take the next street on the right ('Wilhelm-Busch-Straße').  Continue straight ahead into the street 'Am Kleinen Felde' and turn diagonally left into the street 'Im Moore'.

From the south
If you are coming from the south on the A7 motorway, take the 'Hannover-Süd' exit in the direction of Messe (trade fair centre) onto the B6 (Messeschnellweg). As soon as you have passed the trade fair centre, turn onto the B65 (Südschnellweg) towards the city centre. Leave the expressway at the 'Zentrum' exit and turn right at the traffic lights onto Hildesheimer Straße. Hildesheimer Straße ends at City-Ring, which you turn left onto in the direction of 'Universität / Herrenhäuser Gärten'. You will be directed via Aegidientorplatz, Friedrichswall, Leibnizufer and Brühlstraße to Königsworther Platz. On your right you will now see the Continental high-rise building of the Königsworther Platz university site. Continue straight across Königsworther Platz into Nienburger Strasse (towards Herrenhäuser Gärten). Turn right into 'Wilhelm-Busch-Straße', continue straight ahead into 'Am Kleinen Felde' and then left into 'Im Moore'.

Parking facilities
You will find parking spaces in the surrounding side streets or along Nienburger Straße as well as in front of the main LUH building at Welfengarten. Parking is also available on the nearby Engelbosteler Damm (for a fee).
